Janice Kagenski, 2022 QuiltFest Teacher

Janice Kagenski began sewing clothing at the age of 10, but fell in love with quilting in 1982 after seeing all the beautiful quilts at the New York State Fair. With a degree in Computer Science from Rochester Institute of Technology and a job in the Computer Aided Design and Drafting industry, she knew that computerized longarm quilting would be in her future. She purchased a Gammill longarm machine in 2007 and computerized it with an Intelliquilter in 2011. Computerized quilting gives her the precision she desires and allows her to create an entire quilt from start to finish. She enjoys creating new quilting designs for the Intelliquilter and hopes to sell them one day. She loves to help others with their quilting endeavors. About Janice: Previously taught Intelliquilter classes at MQX Quilt Festival Midwest (2018) and MQX Quilt Festival New England (2019) Frequent contributor to the “Friends Using IQ (Intelliquilter)” FaceBook group Ribboned in the Computerized category at MQX Quilt Festival New England (2016) Learned most everything there is to know about the Intelliquilter from Intelliquilter gurus Crystal Culberson Smythe and Helen Baczynski Janice resides in southern New Hampshire and belongs to several quilt guilds
